I love children and enjoy watching them grow and learn. We are part of your village and are here to help your children grow and learn to love school. I know it can be scary and exciting to send your child to school for the first time and to have another “mommy figure” take care of them.
We are here to support you and your family as best we can.
I was raised attending FUMC and started volunteering in the Children’s Sunday school rooms at an early age. Before working at FUMC I worked as a nanny and also owned my own home daycare.
I started as a preschool assistant teacher at FUMC in 2002 and became the Director of the PDO in 2008. Children have always been my passion, especially the little bitties. I received my Child Development Associate Credentials in 2007.
Both of my children attended FUMC Preschool and love coming back to visit especially since some of their teachers are still here!
Thank you for your interest in our school and let me know if I can help in any way.
My door is always open ;-)

We have three infant classrooms divided by age in months. We have low child-to-teacher ratios with a max of 6 babies in the younger classrooms and 7 babies in the older classroom cared for by 2 teachers in each room. The teachers follow each child’s feeding and nap schedule and work toward a more structured schedule as they get older. All of our teachers use Creative Curriculum and Baby Sign Language. They also engage children in age-appropriate play, art projects, music, and outside playtime with rides in the Bye Bye Buggy.
We have two toddler classrooms with a max of 8 in the younger classroom and 10 in the older classroom with two teachers in each room. Our ratios for all our classrooms are well under what Licensing allows. The children are able to explore and interact with peers in a safe and fun environment. These rooms also use Creative Curriculum and they have scheduled music and outside playtime every day. We offer Spanish, Science and Stretch-N-Grow on specific days.
All of our teachers are required to attend 24 hours of continuing education every year and they are all First Aid and CPR certified. The teachers have all completed our Ministry Safe program, a background check and FBI fingerprinting. Our teachers love working with
children and we are proud of our reputation as a program
with a low staff turnover rate.
